Mermaid Hair Spray

He used it consistently morning and night!

Want lushious locks without the chemical junk?

Behold! Mermaid Spray with just four simple ingredients!

Young Living essential oils:

Cedarwood, Lavender & Rosemary

Un-scented With Hazel

(that’s it! SIMPLE and all natural!)

Sounds too good to be true, but this spray is AMAZING!

𖠰Cedarwood essential oil to promote hair

growth and reduce hair loss by balancing the

oil-producing glands in the scalp. It also has antifungal

and antibacterial properties, which can treat different

conditions that may contribute to dandruff or hair loss.

✽Lavender oil can speed up hair growth. Knowing that

Lavender oil has properties that can generate the

growth of cells, it also has antimicrobial and

antibacterial properties, which can improve scalp health.

꠫Rosemary essential oil is a great choice thanks to

its ability to improve cellular generation to

improve both hair thickness and hair growth.

⋱Witch hazel could potentially prevent hair loss by soothing

the irritation within the hair follicles that inhibits hair growth.

*Now remember, like anything else…you have to be consistent for best results! Put it to the test and please share your results with me!

(I’ll share some testimonies below.)

Spring is in the Air

Finally! Am I right?! Longer days, warm sunshine…to me (especially in the northeast) it is truly an awakening!

Fun fact! My birthday is the first day of Spring :) Springtime for me brings creativity, inspiration, the urge to purge and the not so fun part the seasonal sniffles.

I wanted to share some of my favorite DIY’s, Spring Cleaning tips, diffuser blends + roller recipes that get me through this beautiful season! Keep on scrolling and lets enjoy all spring has to offer!

Everything in this post is available here.

Spring Cleaning with Thieves

Spring is just around the corner, and we are ready for days of sunshine and blooming flowers! We’re refreshing our homes and our routines for the changing of the seasons and stocking our cabinets with these favorites:

HOUSEHOLD FAVORITES

How about a simple Spring refresh for the home? Adding in Lushious Lemon blend to all your cleaning products and your diffuser is a great way to elevate your space!

Blends

You can also easily transform these blends into roller recipes and sprays!

To make a 10mL roller from any recipe: triple the number of drops to make a total of 35-45 total drops, add a carrier of choice (we love V-6 Vegetable Complex) and you’re good to go!

To make a 2oz spray from any recipe: double the number of drops to a total of about 25 drops, add a splash of witch hazel and fill with filtered water.

Essential Oils and babies.

I was introduced to the oily lifestyle when I was pregnant with Dylan, so he has been exposed to the goodness of this plant power since he was in my belly (what a lucky kid!) Before I was introduced to natural solutions I was like anyone else and just used whatever was at the store “marketed” towards my needs. When I started learning about essential oils, what they did and how they worked I learned a lot about those products on the shelf and the toxic ingredients many of them contained. I am still learning 4.5 years later but I quickly made the decision to use as many non toxic and natural products and remedies as possible with my little baby. I got a really great resource book Gentle Babies and it was so helpful as a new mom and a new oiler! (it has since been updated and is even more amazing!!)

My friend Ashley recently put together some slides on Essential oils + babies so I figured I would share them, because they are perfect for anyone getting started! Now this is just a guide, always do what you are comfortable with and dilute more if you want…or less if you are comfortable, and as ALWAYS call or message me, I am here to help!

Personally, when I was pregnant I used oils topically, aromatically, and internally (of course I am ONLY talking about and suggesting Young Living—not all oils are created equal. Young Living + their Seed to Seal guarantee are the only ones I trust because they are actually pure.) I diffused during labor and delivery (Gentle Baby + Lavender) and wore them on my chest where Dylan was placed…so he literally has known oils since he came out! Wearing oils on your chest not only acts as a perfume, but also a diffuser so that little babe resting against you gets all the benefits!

Here are a few of our favorite oils from when he was a baby (that we STILL use today!)

Gentle Baby-literally smells like heaven. We loved diffusing this with lavender for the most peaceful atmosphere! (also Gentle Baby is great for skin and stretch marks!)

Peace and Calming-and all the mamas said “AMEN.” Seriously this was probable my most used oil (still to this day) with a little one! The name says it all and it WORKS! So dreamy in the diffuser, for really anyone. Apply this to the bottoms of little feet/spine/wrists/chest. Even just opening the bottle and letting them smell the oil works in a pinch!

Seedlings Calm-we love this one in the diffuser, or in epsom salt in the bath! (Seedlings line is pre-diluted!)

Copaiba (part of the vitality line) -for teething (dilute with carrier oil that can be ingested) apply to gums-it is a natural pain reliever and anti-inflammatory!

Lavender-Diffused, on little feet to relax! Lavender has so many uses-and its great for skin-especially brand new baby skin that may be sensitive! For teething, apply to jawline.

(Kidsscents line is pre-diluted-also available in roll-on’s for easy application + on the go!)

Kidsscents Tummygize- is amazing for supporting the littlest digestive systems-speed things up or slow things down! Apply around the belly button!

Kidsscents Owie- is perfect for any skin irritation. A soothing blend to heal and support any cuts, redness or sensitivity.

Kidsscents Sleepyize- Diffused, or on wrists/feet!

Kidsscents Snifflease- perfect for any little sniffles/congestion they may get! Diffuse + apply to bottoms of feet/chest.

I only know how to “mom” with oils, and I am so thankful for each and every one of them! Honestly, I’m not quite sure how people do it without them!! (oils make it easier mamas!!) Set the wind down mood by starting diffusers with a calming blend 30 min before getting ready for bed. Incorporate oils and sleepy rollers + sprays into your nightly routines!

I’ve put together a bundle of my Baby Must Haves here!
